Smoke Ring Miniatures

Hey again :) It's time for Shagrat!!! He's the commanding Uruk of the tower of Cirith Ungol. Life achievements: Captured Frodo and killed Gorbag xD Very much like Gorbag, there's nothing more to say about him. ********************************************************************************** Well, this model was painted a couple of weeks ago like Gorbag to enter the One Ring Forum painting challenge (for the month of March). Here are the pics: Bilbo's/Frodo's mithrill coat. Painting challenge pic. I hope you guys like it. Happy hobbying :)

Gorbag is that orc from Minas Morgul that finds Frodo outside Shelob's lair and says: "This fellow ain't dead" - magic words... xD He was killed by Shagrat (an Minas Morgul Uruk) and there isn't much more to say about him. ****************************************************************************** This model was painted about 2 weeks ago (along with the next one: Shagrat) with the purpose of entering the one ring's forum challenge of this month's (march). I must say I'm glad with the final result and that it was another fun model to paint :) I'll leave the photos now: And that's all for today :) Happy hobbying guys. Cheers

Hey guys :) I've finished this weekend the BGIME nr42 - Mordor Banner Bearer. I must say that despite this model being cool to paint, I hate that helmet... It doesn't fit the Mordor army style and takes away one of my favourite parts on a miniature - the face. I'm happy with his skin though, but I still think that I could have done a better job with the Red Eye on the banner... *********************************************************************** The paints that I've used: And now the miniature.. Tell me what you guys think: Happy hobbying guys - Stay well! Cheers

Orcs made no beautiful things, but many clever ones including machines, tools, weapons, and instruments of torture, were delighted by wheels, engines, and explosions, and could tunnel and mine as well as any but the most skilled Dwarves. This has been so from the day they were bred by Melkor from corrupted, tortured and mutilated elves that may also have been forced to breed with other unnatural abominations in the dominion of the Dark Powers. They hate themselves and have an even deeper hatred of the Dark Lord who has brought them to this end. The result is a violent and warlike race in a perpetual state of chaos with itself and others. *************************************************************** Well, as you can see, this is one of those numbers that I've already painted. You can see it in my post nr 37 .  I'll be painting all these miniatures again in the future, but for now, they'll be well kept in the box. Cheers to everyone

I would like to start this post stating that, now on, all my posts will start with a brief presentation of the character that gave life to the mini that I've painted and my personal opinion about it. I've decided to do so because, I might haven't said it yet, but I'm a huuuuuu...uuuuge  J.R.R.Tolkien fan since i first read the Fellowship of the Ring book in 2002. So, let us begin: It is well known that Grima is a faithful servant of Saruman during the Lord of the Rings . But let us go deeper in what he represents. In my personal opinion Grima is a Gollum-like case. I do feel sorry for him sometimes. He was a Rohirrim, once. A respectable person whose advices were highly appreciated in Edoras, particularly by Théoden King. But he was also very close to Saruman and,as soon as Saruman decided to go after the One Ring, Grima followed him and betrayed Rohan. And It is here that my sorrow for Grima takes part. Well, in my opinion, Grima fell under the powers of Sarum...
